Welcome to Reproducing Repo, a fan effort to collect as much primary source information regarding the costumes and props created for Repo! The Genetic Opera as possible. Much of this information was collected from the Repo Forum archives found at www.repo-opera.com/board. This site is intended to organize the information that Alex Kavanagh (OffWithHerHead), Adam Smith (Spike) and other primary sources provided to the Repo community regarding the costumes and set pieces following the release of the film.
Reproducing Repo is intended to document how the original costumes were created as well as suggest good alternatives for costumers or shadow casts if the original materials are cost prohibitive or no longer available.
In an attempt to keep this site easy to navigate most of the the threads related to costumes and props are locked. This is an an attempt to curate the information and make sure we are providing you with the most accurate infromation possible.
With that in mind there may be additional information that comes to light or some detail we are missing. If you would like to sumbit information to be added to these threads it can be done by starting a new thread in the general board. Please be sure to include the character and specific costume or prop you are refering to. We will review the update and verify its accuracy to the best of our ability before adding it to the main entry.
In each thread we have selected key photos that we believe best illustrate the design of the costume or prop but these are by no means all the images that exist. We recommend visiting the complete photobucket create by Adam or the Costume thread where Alex answered many fan questions regarding the costumes. Amber Loves Zydrate has also compiled a large photo gallery of high res screen shots, promotional images and behind the scenes photos such as ones taken on set by Paris Hilton, Alexa Vega, Alex Kavanagh and others.
