The base of the Repo helmet is a V Force Profiler paint ball mask
The doctors reflector can be found on ebay or other cheap alternatives are costume pieces found at party supply stores.
The build is a rather detailed process involving removing parts of the original helmet, adding a brim, wet molding leather around the form and then adding lighting and switches.
The Mouth of the mask was removed as well as the vented sides. The lower sides were replaced with plastic that angles slightly in. There was also a plastic brim attached to the top of the mask.
The leather that was molded over the mask is 2-3 oz undyed vegitable tanned leather.
The back of the mask is unsupported and only covered by the leather. The back leather panels are secured with velcro.
For lighting rows of white lights were used in the top and bottom of the mask. For practical use most people use a single row of blue LED's that can be found in auto supply stores. It is almost impossible to see out of the mask in a dimly lit room with the internal lights on.
The switch for the lights was situated on the right hand side along the jawline. It was a raised oval that you can see Nathan turn on in Thankless Job. An similar oval mount was placed on the left side of the mask and the surgical mask attaches to these.
Pattern for the surgical mask
I recommend visiting Spikes photobucket for step by step photos.
